The desire of the Prayer Shawl ministry is to be a blessing to others and to share the love of Jesus with those who are hurting. Our mission is to bring hope, peace, comfort, and joy to individuals that need a touch from Him. We knit and crochet shawls, blankets, and afghans for men or women as well as infants and toddlers that we then give to anyone who makes a request. Some requests come on behalf of someone else while others come directly from a person who just needs to feel the closeness of God. We also love to celebrate new life with our baby afghans. Additionally, we make purses and hats that we donate to the Operation Christmas Child shoebox ministry. So our ministry impact literally goes around the world!

Each item that we create is prayed over. There is nothing magical in doing so. We simply ask that God uses each item that we make to provide the comfort and love of Jesus to those who receive it.

If you would like to be a part of this ministry, we meet on the 2nd and 4th Thursday of each month at 1:00 pm in Room 113 of the Education Building.
